In June of 2024, my daughter and I were lucky enough to spend the month exploring Italy. A country that is filled with historical landmarks and picturesque scenery. We had ended our month in Venice where I was in constant awe of it's architectural structure. To be in a city as old as Venice that holds so much history, I had a lot of "pinch me" moments as I had dreamed of visiting this magical place for as long as I can remember. We had visited Libreria Acqua Alta several times during our stay. An old bookstore that was covered from top to bottom with books and cats that would lay amongst them. The smell that filled the store was as close to an old library as you could get.
