An ode to the son I lost, and the strongest admiration for the one I gained. After learning about Luey’s Spina Bifida diagnosis I continued to tell my self, “This is God giving me my son back.” To believe that things happen for a reason can be hard, and when I found out that our fetal surgeon, Dr. Rodrigo Ruano, had moved to Miami the same month of the same year I began traveling to Miami for issues with my miscarriage, I then believed I was meant to go through that heartbreak to be met with Luey’s team of angels.
